ISO 23616 compliance built into every scan

Vorrex Server runs 14 compliance rules continuously — scheduled, event-driven, and on every garment transition. Every rule maps to an ISO 23616 clause. Thresholds are configured in Vorrex Manager without touching code. Inspectors work through guided checklists on Vorrex Terminal; hard fails condemn garments immediately with a full audit record.

Guided inspection — Vorrex Terminal

Inspectors follow a structured checklist, not their memory

Inspection mode on Vorrex Terminal walks operators through every ISO 23616 check point for the specific PPE category in hand. Checklists are loaded from the database — the same thresholds configured in Vorrex Manager apply at every terminal.

Defects are pinned to body map coordinates. Shrinkage is measured against the garment's baseline. If any check produces a hard fail condition, the garment is condemned immediately and the terminal shows a red fault screen. Operators cannot proceed until the item is physically set aside.

Inspection certificate

Every garment inspection produces a verifiable certificate

Certificates are generated by Vorrex Server after each completed inspection. They are immutable, time-stamped, and accessible via a public verification URL at /verify/{reference}. Fire brigades and H&S managers can verify any garment's compliance status without logging in.

Immutable audit trail

Every status change is a permanent record

Vorrex Server writes a LifecycleEvent for every garment status transition — including automated transitions triggered by compliance rules. The event log is INSERT-ONLY at the database level; no row can be updated or deleted, even by administrators.

Each event records the operator or system that triggered it, the timestamp to millisecond precision, the previous and new status, the garment version at point of transition, and any associated compliance rule ID. The audit trail is readable in Vorrex Manager and exportable as CSV for external audit.

Every scan creates a permanent record. Records can only be added — never edited or deleted. The database enforces this at the constraint level.

Every garment moves through 19 distinct stages — from intake through wash, inspection, and dispatch, with condemnation as the only exit. Every transition is logged with zone, operator, and timestamp.

What buyers ask about the compliance engine

Body map defect pinning

Defects are located on a body map, not described in free text

When an inspector identifies a defect during a Vorrex Terminal inspection, they tap the affected zone on a body map of the garment type. The coordinates are stored as part of the inspection record — so repeat defects in the same zone are visible across the garment's history.

Body maps are specific to PPE category. A structural jacket has different zones to proximity trousers or chemical splash suits. Defect types are also category-specific — delamination applies to structural garments, while reflective tape checks apply to proximity wear.

The body map record feeds into Vorrex Manager's defect frequency reports — showing which garment zones are failing most often across the fleet, and whether the pattern correlates with specific wearers, wash programmes, or age brackets.

Defect evidence

Photos attached to the inspection record, not filed separately

Vorrex Terminal supports photo capture at the inspection station. Photos are attached directly to the inspection event in Vorrex Server — associated with the body map coordinate where the defect was pinned.

For repair routing, photos are available to the repair operative before they handle the garment. For condemned items, photos form part of the disposal record and can be included in client compliance reports exported from Vorrex Manager.

Fire service H&S managers can review defect photos through Vorrex Portal without needing access to the plant management system.

Reproof scheduling

Reproofing is tracked as a compliance event, not a manual note

Compliance Rule CR-05 monitors wash count since last reproof and compares it against the reproof interval configured per garment type in Vorrex Manager. When the threshold approaches, the garment is added to the reproof queue automatically.

Reproof completion is recorded as a status event by the operator on Vorrex Terminal at the reproof station. The wash count resets and the next reproof interval begins. The full reproof history is included in garment compliance certificates.

Reproof intervals are configurable in Vorrex Manager per PPE category and per manufacturer specification. The system does not assume a universal interval — different garment types have different reproof requirements under ISO 23616.
