How it works

From collection to delivery. Every step automated.

A garment's journey through the plant. Ten steps. Each one links to the system module that handles it.

The operational timeline

10 steps. Collection to delivery. Every transition tracked.

01

Collection

Driver arrives at station. Scans soiled cage. Consignment goes live in the system.

Logistics module
02

Goods In

Vehicle arrives at plant. Cage scanned against consignment. Expected versus actual reconciled automatically.

Logistics module
03

Sort

Operator scans each garment. System shows routing: standard wash, quarantine, or condemn. Slings grouped by wash programme.

Garment Lifecycle module
04

Wash

Sling scanned at machine. Batch created. Temperature and chemicals recorded. Auto-condemn triggered if garment reaches maximum wash count.

Compliance Engine module
05

Dry & Route

Post-dry scan onto rails. System routes to: inspection, re-proofing, clean stock, or dispatch hold.

Garment Lifecycle module
06

Inspect

Guided checklist. One item at a time. Cannot skip. Body map defects. Three outcomes: PASS, REPAIR, CONDEMN.

Compliance Engine module
07

Repair

Repair order with defect markers from inspection. ISO constraints enforced. Post-repair inspection required before return to service.

Compliance Engine module
08

Wearer Protection Check

Each day, the system scans every active wearer. PPE gap detected means automatic replacement order. Emergency escalation if needed.

Wearer Protection module
09

Pick & Pack

Pick lists for pool items. Personal items already in dispatch hold. Scanner validates: right client, right wearer, right size.

Logistics module
10

Dispatch & Deliver

Cage loaded. Route dispatched. Client signs electronically. Proof of delivery: signature, GPS, timestamp. Portal updated on each scan.

Supporting workflows

Day-one onboarding. Data migration. Wearer changes.

Beyond the core processing cycle, these workflows handle the operational events that every laundry encounters — new hires, data imports, size changes, and leavers.

Training Mode

30 minutes to productive

New hires train on a separate database. Every screen, every scan, every workflow — identical to production but completely isolated. No risk to live data. No test garments mixed into real batches. When training is complete, the operator switches to production with the same login.

Import Wizard

CSV or Excel → Vorrex in minutes

Upload CSV or Excel, map columns to Vorrex fields, preview before import, errors flagged per-row. Duplicate UIDs, missing fields, and format errors are caught in the preview step. No half-imported data. The entire batch either succeeds or rolls back.

Size Change Workflow

5-step guided process

When a wearer's measurements change, the system guides the operator through five steps: confirm new sizes, identify affected garments, create recovery orders for old fire kit, allocate replacements from stock, and update the wearer's entitlement record. Old garments are recovered and returned to the pool or condemned.

Leaver Return Workflow

5-step recovery process

When staff leave, every garment must be recovered. The system lists all items assigned to the wearer, creates a collection order, tracks returns against the list, flags any missing items, and closes the wearer record only when every garment is accounted for. Nothing gets lost.
